Possibly. Recently got into the Beatles after years of being an occasional listener

Ugh, Sgt. Peppers. I agree that the Beatles were influential as all hell but come on. Some of those songs are just awful.

Why doesn't anybody like the Beatles albums from before they got into drugs? When they were still doing Rock and Roll Music/Skiffle instead of Psychedelic and Folk Music. I appreciate what they did after but no one ever shows respect for "A Hard Day's Night" or "Please Please Me" what the hell man!

#5 I don't think you know the definition of good music if you're calling Sgt. Peppers awful. It is arguably the single greatest and most influential album ever written in the history of music.

#6 - I love all the Beatles' albums. Its just that Abbey Road is one of my all time favourites. Before they got into drugs, the group had a very "pop" sound a clean image; writing nice love songs, wearing suits etc. I really think they entered their artistic phase after '65 when they started writing album oriented music and not singles oriented music. They also started experimenting around with the studio facilities, creating music that was otherwise impossible to play live. That's why they're more critically aclaimed for their work after Sgt. Peppers. But still some of their earlier is great i.e Twist and Shout, Yesterday, I wanna hold your hand...
